Holiday Marketing Collateral
Using expressive typography to reflect the positive nature of an event.
Background and goals
Fresh from the Canada Day marketing effort, it was decided that, once again, Muskoka chairs would be used to symbolize a holiday. The goal was to take the supplied image that was seemingly impossible to work with, and make it work. A request to change the dock had to also be dealt with down the line.
Event collateral design starts with a 26x40 inch lobby poster. To achieve that, an alternative image of sky had to be stitched onto the landscape oriented image that was supplied. Expressive typography was later used to draw some attention away from the chairs and reflect on the event’s nature.
